During World War II, the United States government interned Japanese Americans and Japanese immigrants. This hyperdoc teaches narrative story elements and the history of these camps. Students will watch and compare two versions of Fort Minors rap "Kenji," complete close reads of primary sources, and use research to prewrite a storyline, dialogue, and description. The apply section of the hyperdoc asks students to write an original historical fiction narrative about Internment camps.
