Description

Recognizing bias in new stories is one form of media literacy. Spotting when the news or site is totally fabricated is something else. With social media use on the rise, how can you tell fact from media fiction?

Learning Objective:  Verify a source's credibility when gathering information.

Success Criteria or Learning Outcome: I determine if a source is real or fake news.

This is intended for middle school.  If you would like to use this for upper elementary, I suggest switching from C.R.A.P. to C.A.R.S. (Credibility, Accuracy, Reasonableness, Support).
