About Us

When our schools adopted Google Apps for Education and equipped our classrooms with technology, we began asking: How can we truly utilize these tools to transform the student learning experience? It was then that we coined the term HyperDoc to define our digital lessons and started creating. Teaching with HyperDocs got us really excited about personalizing our lesson plans and instructional delivery.  We were feeling alive! Our students were engaged and excited. We knew we were on to something special. Teaching with HyperDocs has been the ultimate change agent in our classrooms and we hope it is for you too!

Lisa Highfill (@lhighfill) is an instructional technology coach in the San Francisco Bay Area. She earned her masters in educational technology leadership and has been a classroom teacher for more than twenty years. As a MERIT fellow, Google Certified Innovator and a YouTube Star Teacher, she travels the globe presenting at EdTech conferences and speaking about lesson design and learning theory.

Kelly Hilton (@kellyihilton) taught in the classroom for fifteen years and is currently an instructional coach in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. She is a Google Certified Educator, MERIT fellow, and she co-founded a digital learning camp for kids called Schoogle. She is currently working on her Masters in Educational Leadership and shares what she learns on her blog at www.kellyhilton.org. Kelly is dedicated to collaborating with teachers daily in all subject areas on student-centered instructional design and delivery practices.

Sarah Landis (@sarahlandis) is an instructional coach in the San Francisco Bay Area with more than fifteen years of experience in education. She has a masters in curriculum from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is also a MERIT fellow and the co-founder of Schoogle Digital Reboot Camp. Sarah loves to share her passion for digital literacy, global citizenship, curriculum design, and blended learning with learners of all ages!
